Well, I Mostly Adulted

Hi Internet People,

Yesterday I spent most of my day out and about, which I really needed to do. I have been applying for jobs and I just found out recently that I have been offered a job that starts August 1st. I don’t have a lot of details and even if I did I can’t really share them, except to say I have stuff to do on the 1st, but I needed to get some new dress clothes. I wear sort of nice clothes for work at the video store, but it’s very relaxed business casual. I wear a lot of skinny jeans and, with our air conditioning broken right now, a lot of tank tops.

I went to a couple different places and actually found some really good stuff. A new skirt, a pair of dress pants, a new jacket, and then a ton of random dress shirts. I wasn’t expecting to find so many shirts, but I won’t complain because I really needed them. I also found a brand new bag to use for work. I love my Joker bag, but I needed something without an image on it to take to meetings. I also got new black flats and more black nail polish, I may have a problem when it comes to black nail polish. I just keep buying different versions of it, which I totally don’t need.

I also bought something very not adult that I am totally going to wear on the weekends. I was at a Plato’s Closet and found a pair of split color pants. If you don’t know what I’m talking about I’ve always wanted a pair of pants with two different color legs. I don’t know why, but I always thought they looked really cool. There was a pair of pants with one green leg and one black leg that were only 5 bucks. I thought for that cheap that I totally needed them. I also tried on some terrifyingly tall high heels covered in spikes, but I totally could never walk in them. I briefly felt like a giraffe so that’s fun.

I have some more new job stuff to do, there’s more paperwork and some information to get, but I am really excited for this new chapter in my life.
